Day 1 – 21 Day Sugar Detox
Day 1 of my 21 Day Sugar Detox!
Brunch:
Coffee and cage free eggs scrambled with onion, spinach, and roasted chicken. Breakfast almost always looks something like this – I fry up some veggies and proteins (usually leftovers) in a non-stick skillet, pour in some eggs, season with Tony C’s herb seasoning and eat.
Dinner:
Pastured pork chops with collards, carrots, and onions. It was super easy. I browned pork chops from Hunter Cattle in my nifty new enameled cast iron skillet Santra brought me. Then, I pulled some collards out of the freezer and simmered it all together.
Yes, I know that’s only two meals. I really do try to eat three but that doesn’t always happen.
Snacks:
Cajun Pecans (pecans toasted in ghee/clarified butter, tossed with salt, pepper, and a little Tony C’s)
Paleo Breakfast Cookies (modified for the 21DSD). I’m not totally happy with the results – I’ll post a recipe when I get it down a little better.
I’ll probably snack on some baby carrots and guacamole (I LOVE the Wholly Guacamole single serving packs) later tonight.
Also, I’m an 80/20 type Paleo chick and my 20% often takes the form of dark chocolate and red wine. Since both are off the menu tonight (and for the next 20 days), I have a box of organic peppermint tea in reserve for before bed sipping.














Started today as well! The first time I did the detox was this past August……it really works!
